Our Guide to choosing your Camino

The Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of Saint James, is the name used to refer to all the routes that have lead pilgrims for centuries to where the apostle Saint James the Great is said to be buried. The Camino has been one of the most important Christian Pilgrimage for well over 1,000 years and it has started a new international rebirth.

The Camino is a journey to the religious and historical roots of Europe, it's traveling through beautiful countryside and timeless villages, it's rediscovering the pleasure of being in direct contact with nature.

But it is also an invitation, we invite you by walking the Camino with us to rediscover yourself through introspection and new encounters, to change habits that have been making you unhappy, to build unexpected friendships and give yourself new challenges.

We offer three ranges of tours along the most popular pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela- in blue on the map above - the French Way from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, the Portuguese Way Interior and Coastal from Porto, the Sanabrés Way from Ourense and the Camino to Finisterre.

However, there are many other historical routes- in green - to choose from. If you wish to receive your Compostela (the certificate of accomplishment) you need to walk or horse-ride at least the last 100 km into Santiago de Compostela (cycle the last 200 km) - the pin - from any direction.

  2 to 4* hotels and luxurious guest-houses on the Camino. This is our standard level of comfort for our most popular tours. For groups & solo travelers.

• Luxury
  
  

  The best accommodation there is on the Way and Northern Spain. These are our signature tours which we recommend to groups or individuals looking for a exceptional experience.

• Bicycle & Horse-riding

  The Certificate of Achievement, the Compostela, can be obtained by cycling the last 200 km or horse-riding the last 100 km into Santiago de Compostela. So, why not experience the Way on a horse or bike?

• Walking

  The traditional way to reach Santiago. Walking gives you time to really take in the journey, it is more social and great exercise so sometimes you should stick to the approved Classics.

• Coach / Train / Boat

  Carefully crafted coach, train & boat tours that allow you to discover the highlights of each route in a shorter time with a group. Includes stays in 3 to 5* hotels, private transportation, guides and walks everyday.

• Portuguese Way

  The second most popular Camino. Follows the Portuguese and Spanish Coast North towards Santiago de Compostela. Offers breathtaking panoramic views, beautiful cities, excellent food & accommodation and the proximity of the beach on most days.

• French Way

  The most historical and by far the most internationally recognized Camino thanks to the movie "The Way" with Martin Sheen and "The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coelho. Filled with a thousand years of pilgrimage culture & architecture, great landscapes and a very special atmosphere.

• Our other routes

  In Medieval times, people would start their Camino from their doorstep, wherever that was in Europe. So, you don't need to stick to the most popular route, just the one that attracts you most.

Tour Duration

• Extended week-end

  For those who only have a few days to spare, want to discover a new region of Spain or Portugal or want a taste of the Camino de Santiago before committing to a longer journey.

• 6 to 9 days

  Our most popular tour duration. Enough time to obtain your Compostela, the Certificate of Achievement. Add extra nights in Santiago and on your way to the Camino for an even more complete experience

• Over 10 days

  For the lucky ones who can take more time off from their busy schedule. Will allow you to experience the Camino de Santiago as it is meant to be and truly disconnect.
